As an international freshman of the 2024 cohort from a foreign land, participating in this orientation program was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped through the university gates, I was captivated by Ningbo University of Technology's rich academic atmosphere and diverse cultural environment. Visiting the school's history museum felt like a journey through time, witnessing the university's centennial glory. The precious artifacts and vivid photographs deeply impressed upon me the university's profound historical roots and outstanding achievements. I am deeply honored to study here, recognizing this as a crucial opportunity for my future development.
Dean Du Yunchao's "First Lesson" inspired me greatly. His words brimmed with expectations and care for international students, making me feel the university's emphasis and support for our community. Dean Du's introduction provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the university's various aspects, clarifying my goals and direction during my university years.
The subsequent sessions on interpreting the International Student Handbook, legal lectures, and safety education were incredibly enriching. These activities not only acquainted me with the university's regulations and management measures but also imparted practical life skills and safety precautions. All of these will positively impact my future studies and life.
What touched me most was the opportunity to meet friends from diverse nations during this orientation. We learned together, progressed together, and fostered mutual understanding and friendship through our interactions. I am convinced that, in the days to come, we will unite and co-create our own captivating stories.

The introduction to the history of Ningbo University of Technology left the deepest impression on me. After learning about the school's origins, development process, and the unique cultural phenomenon of the "Ningbo Group," I was deeply captivated by the profound historical sense and cultural heritage embodied in the university. I realized that although Ningbo University of Technology has a relatively shorter history compared to some other universities with long-standing traditions, its achievements and contributions are undeniable. The spirit of rapidly rising to prominence within a short period and securing a place in China's higher education sector undoubtedly inspired and motivated me greatly.
The explanation of residence permits and visas was crucial knowledge for me as a foreign student living in a different country. The university provided us with comprehensive and meticulous guidance, enabling us to understand how to legally reside and study in China. This not only alleviated our concerns but also allowed us to devote ourselves more peacefully to our academic and daily lives.
The safety education lecture, however, was the most touching part of my orientation program. Through real-life cases and vivid explanations, I profoundly recognized the importance of safety and how to avoid potential dangers in daily life. Whether it's safety within the campus or outside in daily living, I will keep it in mind and maintain vigilance and self-protection awareness at all times.
In conclusion, the orientation activities at Ningbo University of Technology have left me with profound impressions and invaluable gains. I have not only gained an understanding of the school's history and culture, acquired essential knowledge for living and studying, but also made many like-minded friends.
