    Ningbo, a city of culture, a gateway to the world. Ningbo University of Technology (NBUT) is a full-time undergraduate university and master’s degree conferring unit approved by the Ministry of Education, Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) University. It is jointly founded by Zhejiang provincial government and Ningbo municipal government. NBUT covers an area of 1,200,000 square meters and comprises Fenghua Campus, Cuibai Campus, and Qianwan Campus. It currently has 19 schools, 51 undergraduate programs, 8 master’s degrees and 24 first-level disciplines, with over 17,000 full-time undergraduate students, 398 postgraduates and 207 international students enrolled. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment reaches 560 million yuan.

    The university attaches great importance to the development of disciplines, adhering to a focus on engineering while promoting coordinated development across multiple disciplines including humanities, sciences, economics, and management. According to ESI (Essential Science Indicators), three disciplines of “material science”, “chemistry” and “engineering” have entered the top 1% of the world. The university currently has 8 professional master's degree programs and 2 provincial-level postgraduate joint training bases. It participates in the construction of two national-level scientific research platforms: the China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center and the China-Mozambique Smart Agriculture "Belt and Road" Joint Laboratory.

    The university extensively carries out international cooperation, learns from advanced foreign experience, and strengthens the characteristics of education model for “Going Global”. It cooperates with Delaware State University and Wayne State University in the United States to offer programs such as Accounting, Information and Computing Science, and Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation. It has established cooperative relations with more than 130 institutions in over 30 countries and regions, and has cultivated nearly 800 international students from more than 70 countries. The university has established one Confucius Institute in Grenada.

Undergraduate Programs

Undergraduate Application Requirements

1.Non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary passport, Residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan who have immigrated abroad and are applying as international students must have obtained foreign nationality before April 30th, 2022, and must have a record of actual residence abroad for at least two years between April 30th, 2022, and April 30th, 2026 (with at least nine months of actual residence abroad within a year considered as one year, based on entry and exit stamps).

2.Applicants must be recent high school graduates or hold a high school diploma with good academic performance.

3.In good physical and mental health, friendly toward China, with no history of drug abuse and no criminal records if the physical examination results indicate that a student is unsuitable for study or if the student conceals a serious illness or past medical history, the school has the right to cancel their admission eligibility.

4.Age Requirement: Applicants must be under 30 years old. Those under 18 years old shall submit a guardian's statement (by 30th June, 2026).

5.Language Proficiency

For programs taught in Chinese, applicants must have a Chinese proficiency level of HSK4 (180 points or above). Applicants who have obtained a degree from a Chinese university where Chinese is the teaching language are exempt from providing an HSK certificate.

For programs taught in English, applicants whose native language or official language of their home country is not English must have an IELTS score of 5.5, or a TOEFL score of 80, or other certificates that can demonstrate English proficiency.

Application Documents

1. Photograph (a recent 2-inch bareheaded passport-style photo).

2. Passport homepage and all visa pages (if applicable). The passport’s validity should extend beyond September 2026.

3. Notarized bachelor’s degree. If the applicant is an enrolled student (In China), he or she must submit a certificate of expected graduation or a studying certificate issued by the school he or she is attending.  

4. Academic transcripts. Transcripts should be issued and stamped by the Academic Affairs Office of the school or the relevant student administration department.

5. Bank cash certificate equivalent to 30,000RMB (signed in the student’s name).

6. A copy of the FOREIGNER PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM (keep the original on your own; this form is uniformly printed by the Chinese health and quarantine authorities and must be completed in English). The applicant shall strictly follow the items required in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The Foreigner’s Physical Examination Form with missing items, no photo of the applicant or no seal on the photo, or no signature and seal of the physician and the hospital shall be invalid, and the examination result shall be valid for 6 months.

7. Students currently studying in China must provide a certificate of academic performance from their original institution.

8. Proof of language proficiency

For programs taught in Chinese, applicants must provide an HSK Level 4 or higher certificate obtained within the past two years, or proof of previous study taught in Chinese.

For programs taught in English, applicants whose native language or official language is not English must provide an IELTS or TOEFL score from the past two years or proof of previous study taught in English.

9. Certificate of non-criminal record. Applicants must submit a certificate of non- criminal record issued by the local public security authorities within the validity period, which should normally be less than six months prior to the date of submission of the application.

2. Qualified applicants will receive a pre-admission notice via email.

3. Applicants must, according to the requirements in the pre-admission notice, pay the application fee (400 RMB), accommodation fee (2400 RMB) and insurance (1200 RMB) to the university’s bank account within the specified time. The applicant’s passport number should be noted on the remittance slip.

4. Upon verification of the payment receipt, the applicant will receive the JW202 forms and admission letter to apply for the X1 visa.

学校介绍

宁波，书藏古今、港通天下的历史文化名城。宁波工程学院是经教育部批准设立，省市共建、以市为主的全日制普通本科院校、硕士学位授予单位、中国政府奖学金院校。学校占地面积1800亩，设有风华校区、翠柏校区和前湾校区，现有19个二级教学机构，51个本科专业，8个硕士点，24个校一级学科；在校全日制本科学生17000余人，研究生398人，国际生207人，现有教学科研仪器设备总值达5.6亿元。

学校重视学科建设，坚持工科为主，文、理、经、管多学科协调发展。“材料科学”“化学”“工程学”3个学科进入基本科学指标数据库（ESI）全球前1%。学校现有8个专业学位硕士点，2个省级研究生联合培养基地，参与共建中国-中东欧国家创新合作研究中心、中国-莫桑比克智慧农业“一带一路”联合实验室2个国家级科研平台。

本科专业

本科申请条件

1.非中国籍公民，持外国有效普通护照，符合教育部教外函〔2020〕12号文件规定：中国(大陆)、香港、澳门和台湾居民在移民外国后，作为国际学生申请人，须于2022年4月30日前取得外国国籍，且从2022年4月30日起至2026年4月30日止有在国外实际居住2年以上的记录(一年中实际在国外居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准)。

2.持有高中毕业证书，成绩良好

3.品行端正，身心健康，无吸毒史，无犯罪记录，如体检结果显示不适宜学习或学生隐瞒重大疾病或既往病史，学校有权取消其入学资格。

4.年龄要求：不超过30周岁。18周岁以下申请人请提交监护人声明。

5.语言要求：申请以中文为授课语言的，中文水平须达到《汉语水平考试》四级（HSK4）（180分及以上）。申请以英文为授课语言的，母语或所在国官方语言非英语者，英文水平须达到雅思5.5分或托福80分或其他可以证明英语水平的证书。

6.成绩要求：学生需在申请时按专业提供CSCA考试成绩。

申请材料

1.证件照（近期2寸免冠照片）

2.护照首页、所有签证页（如有）。护照有效期应晚于2026年9月。

3.按申请项目需求，提供经公证的学历证明。如申请人为在校学生，须提交本人就读学校出具的预计毕业证明或学习证明。

4.学习成绩单。成绩单应由就读学校教务处或有关学生管理部门开具并盖章。

5.持有来华留学本科入学学业水平测试成绩单

6.存款证明：提供等值30000RMB的银行现金证明（署名学生名字）

7.《外国人体格检查表》复印件（原件自行保存，此表格由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制，须英文填写）。申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查表》中要求的项目进行检查。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查表》无效，检查结果有效期为6个月。

8.已在华学习学生须提供原学校在校表现证明。

9.语言能力证明。申请以中文为授课语言的，申请人需提供两年内HSK四级或以上等级证书或上一阶段中文授课证明；申请以英文为授课语言的，母语或所在国官方语言非英语者需提供两年内雅思或托福成绩单或上一阶段英文授课证明。

10.无犯罪记录证明。申请人须提交由所在地公安机关出具的有效期内的无犯罪记录证明，通常应为提交申请之日前6个月以内的证明文件。

2.符合条件的申请人会收到预录取通知书。

3.申请人须按照预录取通知书的要求，在规定时间内将申请费(人民币400元)和相关费用（住宿费2400元及住宿押金1200元）支付到学校的银行账户。并在汇款单上注明申请人的护照号码及姓名。

4.经付款收据核实后，申请人将收到JW202表和录取通知书，申请X1签证。
